The Athletic Trainer, Club Sports is responsible for the administration of all sports medicine facets of the club sports program which currently includes 36 teams.
Essential Functions
Provide athletic training services for the club sports program including attendance at scheduled team practices and home competitions and selected away competitions.
Determine (with Physician's consultation) student athlete's ability to practice and/or compete; develop and maintain active communication with club coaches on status of injured student-athletes.
Secure, assign, and manage per diem or outside Athletic Trainer coverage for events/practices.
Establish and maintain relationships with varsity sports medicine, student health center, team physicians/medical consultants to ensure program service and effectiveness.
Establish, maintain, and enforce code of conduct and rules for athletic training facilities and equipment.
Develop and maintain athletic training supplies and inventory to support the program, including team first aid kits.
Develop and maintain a club sports athletic training program policy manual for club sports.
Assist with development and implementation of club sports safety officer program to assist with management of daily practices.
Establish, maintain, and enforce an emergency action plan for athletic training facilities.
Represent Drexel and serve as active committee professional in Philadelphia City 6 Extramural Sports Association.
Coordination of pre-participation packets for all participants and any related follow-up prior to participation in club sports activities.

Oversee compilation, input, organization, and maintenance of all medical records for student-athletes in accordance with all applicable rules and regulations.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Minimum of a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Athletic Training or related field.
Minimum of 1 year of experience working as an athletic trainer in an educational setting.
NATABOC certified (Pennsylvania certified or eligible).
CPR & First Aid certified.
Excellent communication, organization, management, leadership and professional skills.
Demonstrated ability to take initiative, problem-solve, and meet deadlines.
Ability to collaborate effectively as a member of a goal-oriented team.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows/network environment.
Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
Ability to transport to on-campus athletic venues.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree.
CPR/First-Aid Instructor certified.
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit at a desk/table
Ability to walk/stand.
Ability to lift up to 50lbs.a
Ability to bend, crouch, stoop.

Additional Information
This position is classified as Exempt , grade I. Compensation for this grade ranges from $41,120 - $61,680. Please note that the offered rate for this position typically aligns with the minimum to midrange of this grade, but it can vary based on the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience, department budget, and an internal equity review.
