offers 15 sports at the
NCAA
Division I level, with more than 300 student-athletes in the sports of men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s soccer, men’s and women’s cross country, men’s and women’s indoor and outdoor track and field, men’s and women’s swimming and diving, women’s volleyball, women’s tennis, and baseball.
Under the direction of the Assistant Athletic Director for Sports Medicine and in accordance with all
NCAA
, Conference, State and Institutional rules and regulations this position will perform athletic training duties that help ensure the health and safety of our student-athletes. The assistant athletic trainer will provide preventative care and treatments and rehabilitation support for student-athletes as it relates to injuries or illnesses. This position is responsible for managing the evaluation documentation for the student-athletes that they work with. The designated sport oversight of this position will be with baseball and secondary coverage of men’s and women’s cross country in the fall. The assistant athletic trainer will also be responsible for assisting with various administrative functions as well as providing supervision of athletic training students in a clinical setting.
The individual must know, recognize and comply with the laws, policies, rules and regulations governing University and its employees, and the rules of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (“NCAA”) and the applicable Conference, as now constituted or as they may be amended during the Term of this agreement. The Employee shall take all reasonable steps to endeavor to ensure that all other employees for whom Employee is administratively responsible, comply with aforesaid policies, rules, and regulations.
NOTE: This is a 10-month SEASONAL Appointment, with a 2-month unpaid work break in June and July.

accredited Athletic Training Education Program
Certified Athletic Trainer through the Board of Certification for Athletic Trainers
Current
CPR
with
AED
certification as a healthcare provider
Master’s degree in athletic training or related field
At least one (1) year of experience as a certified athletic trainer at the collegiate level
Experience with manual therapy skills and demonstrated ability to stay up to date with current trends
Salary will be commensurate with experience.
