As a member of the Endicott Athletic Training staff, duties include care and prevention of athletic injuries, wellness promotion, examination, assessment, diagnosis, immediate care, emergency care, therapeutic intervention, healthcare organization, administration and professional responsibility for all varsity and club athletes. Coverage includes providing athletic training services for all practices and athletic contests hosted by Endicott College. Includes availability of mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Provides coverage of away contests as determined by the NCAA, Athletic Conference(s), and at the discretion of the Head Athletic Trainer. Additionally, in association with the School of Sport Science, athletic trainers are required to serve as a clinical instructor for the Athletic Training students enrolled in the CAATE accredited program.

Provide timely and effective evaluation and care to student-athletes for athletic-related injuries and conditions

  • Utilize Appointlet.com appointment system weekly throughout the semester to create opportunities for student-athletes to receive treatment for athletic injuries.

  • Schedule biweekly meetings with the S&C coach and head coach for assigned teams to work collaboratively to include preventative measures, mobility and recovery for student-athletes.

  • Plan, research and present 1 topic each semester for a staff in-service to assist in fostering departmental knowledge and growth. Topics/skills will directly impact quality of care for student-athletes.

Communicate clearly and effectively with students, parents, coaches, administration, the strength and conditioning staff, and other stakeholders regarding the health of the student-athletes, injuries, progressions, scheduling, policies and procedures and other departmental matters.
