Athletic Trainer Intern

The intern will work 40+ hours per week. May work nights and weekends based on the schedule of OSU athletic events. These positions have responsibilities assigned to specific sports and have an appointment term of 12 months beginning July 1, 2024 and ending June 30, 2025, with possibility of renewal for second year. The Athletic Trainer Interns will work closely with full time staff to provide comprehensive medical care. They will also assist with coordination and direction of students in ATEP. This is an entry level, career based internship and is intended for professional development of an applicant with only 6 to 24 months practical experience. These positions are focused on furthering knowledge and skills in the field of Athletic Training. Internship positions are appointed on an annual basis. These positions work in a creative and collaborative team environment where change is embraced and innovation is encouraged. Please include professional references in cover letter.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's level degree required. Successful completion of BOC Certification Examination by the beginning of internship and ability to obtain a License to practice Athletic Training in the State of Ohio. Preferred independent travel experience.

The hourly rate for this position is $17.00/hour. Potential sport assignments are likely: Aquatics, Spirit Squad (Cheer and Dance), Fencing/assist with Spirit, Field Hockey/Women's Tennis, Track and Field, and Softball.
