UCF Athletics at the University of Central Florida, an NCAA Division I institution and Big XII member, is seeking applications for the position of Athletic Trainer – Men's Basketball.
The selected candidate will assist the Associate A.D., Sports Medicine in the day-to-day management of athletics' sports medicine operation while serving as a primary athletic trainer for men's basketball. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: coordination of injury prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation of student-athletes; supervision of graduate and student assistants; nutrition; and budget implementation. Due to the nature/scope of Athletics and Athletics events, position regularly requires work on evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Minimum qualifications: Master's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and one year of directly related professional experience; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and 3 years of directly related experience. Must possess or be able to obtain the NATABOC, as well as CPR and AED certification. Prefer Master's degree and NATABOC Certified Athletic Trainer credentials; eligible for State of Florida Athletic Training License; and five (5) years athletic training experience at the NCAA Division I level or higher.
