ADDITIONAL DUTIES:

LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, OR REGISTRATIONS: - National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification certified, required; - Eligible for licensure in the state of Alabama, required; - Current and ongoing CPR certification is required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: - Knowledge of injuries/illnesses, prevention of such, and rehabilitation from; - Knowledge of wellness promotion and education; - Knowledge of emergent care; - Knowledge of examination and clinical diagnosis; - Knowledge of therapeutic intervention; - Knowledge of injury rehabilitation and medical conditions; - Ability to interact with and effectively communicate with a diverse array of students, parents, administrators, staff, visitors, and the general public; - Ability to provide care that is respectful of and responsive to individual patient preferences, needs, and values, and ensuring that patient values and regulations guide all clinical decisions; - Ability to travel to and from competitions; - Knowledge of and the ability to assist in maintaining health records of students; - Ability to supervise student workers; - Knowledge of and the ability to administer drug screenings and physicals for student athletes; - Ability to assist with updating policies and procedures as requested.
