Job Summary

Department-Specific Responsibilities

  • Assists in the coordination and administration of a comprehensive sports medicine program for the Indiana University football program and provides health care for student-athletes.
  • Maintains and manages concussed student athletes in supporting the Indiana University physicians. Assists in a retinal OCT (Optical Coherence Tomography) research of concussion.
  • Additionally, assists in the Department of Defense ¿ NCAA Care Consortium to collect data regarding concussion and their management with student athletes throughout the year. This data will be used for concussion research funded through the DoD NCAA grant.

General Responsibilities

  • Complies fully with all NCAA, Big Ten (or other conference) and Indiana University rules, regulations, policies and procedures. Failure to do so may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment. Adheres to the Code of Ethics of the National Athletic Trainers Association and State of Indiana Practice Act.
