The temporary Athletic Trainer will provide comprehensive athletic healthcare services to student-athletes throughout the fall athletic season. The Athletic Trainer will work in the athletic training room and in support of athletic practices and competitions, as needed, providing care to athletes across all sports.
The successful candidate will be a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) with a current Massachusetts Athletic Trainer license and will be responsible for delivering professional, evidence-based athletic healthcare in accordance with applicable professional standards, institutional policies, and state regulations.
Essential Responsibilities
- Provide athletic healthcare services to student-athletes from all NCAA athletic teams
- Mentor and serve as a preceptor for the Athletic Training Program.
- Evaluate, assess, and manage athletic injuries and illnesses.
- Provide appropriate first aid, injury care, rehabilitation, and return-to-play support.
- Develop and implement injury prevention and rehabilitation programs as appropriate.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical and injury documentation.
- Provide coverage and support for athletic practices and competitions as assigned.
- Communicate effectively with coaches, student-athletes, parents/guardians, physicians, and other healthcare professionals as appropriate.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized athletic training room.

- Monitor student-athlete health and make appropriate referrals to physicians or other healthcare providers when necessary.
- Maintain confidentiality of student-athlete medical information.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED Required.
- Current BOC Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) credential.
- Current Massachusetts Athletic Trainer license in good standing.
- Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification.
- Experience providing athletic healthcare to student-athletes preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with coaches, athletic department staff, and healthcare providers.
- Ability to respond effectively in emergency and time-sensitive situations.
