1) Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities – Give a detailed description of the tasks, outcomes All Duties and responsibilities are performed under the supervision and direction of a Certified Athletic Trainer.· Provide first aid and emergency care to student-athletes during practices and games.· Assist student-athletes to carry out injury/illness rehabilitation and prevention plans designated by a Certified Athletic Trainer.· Ensure essential equipment is available to both student-athletes and Certified Athletic Trainers during games and practices.· Input daily treatments into computer and file student-athlete records appropriately.· Perform proper sanitation and cleaning practices to ensure cleanliness of ATR and equipment.· Note any working relationships · Report to Head Athletic Trainer.· Must be under supervision of a Certified Athletic Trainer when providing care for student athletes.· Note any relevant working conditions · Ability to carry essential equipment.· Proper use and disposal of personal protective equipment when necessary.· No more than 20 hours/week. Schedule depends upon the time of practices/games of the athletic and club sports programs.

Applicants must be CPR/AED and first aid certified. Applicants must be able to handle stressful situations in a calm and controlled manner. ·Dependability, punctuality, honesty and a desire to learn are a must.
Past experiences in nursing, triage, medical settings, and competitive sports recommended but not required. Applicants having passed a high school sports medicine/athletic training class or the Intro to Athletic Training class offered by Westminster College will be given preference.
