JOB SUMMARY: This position serves to help coordinate the Athletic Department, which consists of 23 varsity sports, 700 student-athletes, 15 club sports, and intramurals. This person will also support a full-time and part-time staff of 80+ employees and multiple athletic facilities.
JOB SUMMARY: This position serves to help coordinate the Athletic Department, which consists of 23 varsity sports, 700 student-athletes, 15 club sports, and intramurals. This person will also support a full-time and part-time staff of 80+ employees and multiple athletic facilities.
Provide administrative and office management support to the athletic director, coaches, and other staff members
Assist with budget tracking, expense reporting, and financial record-keeping
Organize and maintain departmental records, files, and databases
Assist with compliance documentation, student-athlete eligibility, roster management, and record-keeping related to NCAA regulations
Process NCAA reports and assist with the annual EADA report
Address athletic inquiries, resolve issues and direct individuals to the appropriate
Attend weekly and monthly meetings with athletics staff
Supervise student employment staff
Assist with the planning and coordination of athletic events, meetings and special functions
Perform monthly administrative duties to support the Master of Athletic Training (MAT) program, assist with accreditation tasks, and credit card reconciliation
Handle sensitive information with professionalism, discretion and confidentiality
All other duties as assigned
Prerequisites
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High school degree or equivalent
2+ years of general office experience
Excellent customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal
Experience with expense reporting and managing and/or tracking a budget
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products
Experience with athletic department operations and/or knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations, preferred
