The Athletics Administrative Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative operation and event coordination support to the Athletic Director and the Athletics Senior Staff. This includes internal and external events, managing purchasing and budgeting records, and serving as a resource for the

varsity sports programs. The Athletics Administrative Coordinator reports to the Athletic Director.

Job Duties

- Provide administrative operations support for the department leadership.
- Schedule and prepare for meetings and departmental events.
- Receive and direct visitors and respond to inquiries in person, by phone, and via email.
- Assist with the onboarding process for student employees; supervise department student workers.
- Maintain departmental supplies and materials; prepare purchase requisitions for office supply orders; receive orders.
- Make travel arrangements for the Athletic Director; prepare travel expense reports.
- Pick up and distribute mail in a timely manner.
- Assist with coordination of special projects.
- Examine, arrange, and follow up on issues and concerns addressed to the Athletic Director, including sensitive or confidential ones.
- Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications
| Knowledge Skills and Abilities |
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Skills in Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.
- Skills in typing, reception, and ability to learn new university software and processes.
- Attention to detail and self-starter.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Ability to understand and adhere to established policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.
- Employee shall adhere to all applicable rules and regulations of the University, the Conference, and the NCAA.

| Required Education |
High school diploma or equivalent.

| Required Work Experience |
Two (2) years of administrative operations experience in a complex environment.

| Preferred Qualifications |
Athletic administrative operations experience is a plus.
|
| Required Certifications, Licenses or Registrations |
Must have a valid driver license, driving record that is insurable by UIW insurance carrier, and be at least 21 years of age, as required to drive for UIW.

| Work Hours |
Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm with extended hours as needed to meet departmental goals.
|
| Physical Demands |
- Ability to reach overhead, bend, squat to retrieve office/events materials weighing up to 10lbs.
- Ability to regularly move about campus to pick-up/deliver mail, as well as attend meetings on campus.
