The role of the Athletics Building Manager - Plumber is to perform daily duties assigned by the director that are both scheduled and unscheduled. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to plumbing, HVAC, electrical, welding, carpentry, general maintenance, assistance with game day operations and event setup as required.
Additionally, a Building Manager must demonstrate personal accountability, including (1) compliance with the compliance staff directives and (2) adherence to Athletics Department and University policies as well as NCAA and Big 12 Conference rules and regulations.
Essential Functions:
Plumbing: Troubleshoot plumbing systems, repair leaking and damaged pipes, repair faucets and toilets, repair or replace pumps, replace filters, diagnose, and estimate replacement costs, maintain stock, etc.
General Maintenance: Responsible for performing a wide range of duties as assigned by supervisor. Painting, welding, carpentry, drywall repairs, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, door repairs, flooring repairs, ceiling repairs, lighting repairs, etc.
Events: Assist with event set-up and breakdown
Collaboration: Collaborates with others for the purpose of implementing and maintaining facility services
Material Procurement: Capable of gathering quotes and order fulfillment. Assists supervisor in establishing proper materials inventory
Planning: Develops long and short-range maintenance plans/programs for the purpose of ensuring that university resources are effectively used
