Job Description

Nature of Work: The Manager, under the direction of an Assistant Director or above, plays an integral role in the design, development, implementation and interpretation of departmental processes and/or programs.

Typical Responsibilities: Manage the overall responsibilities and activities of the department, program, or functional area.Assist in the development and implementation of strategies and objectives to ensure departmental goals are met.Plan and implement systems that perform the work and fulfill the mission and the goals of the department, program, or work unit efficiently and effectively.Plan and allocate resources to effectively staff and accomplish the work to meet productivity and quality goals.Train and supervise work of staff, students and volunteers as assigned.May design and deliver presentations, workshops and educational/training materials.During declared campus emergencies, this position may be required to perform specific job related duties at a designated off campus location or place of residence.

Required Qualifications: This position requires either (a) Master’s degree from an acceptable accredited institution in a directly related area of specialization and one year of experience directly related to the job functions; (b) Bachelor’s degree from an acceptable accredited institution in a directly related area of specialization and three years of experience directly related to the job functions; or (c ) 7 years of direct experience.

 

Provides day to day support and management of the Athletics Business Office, including, but not limited to, the following responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary contact for the University’s contracted program WorkDay
- Manage the Athletic Department coaches and administrators in the proper use of WorkDay and the University's policies & procedures

  • Create expense reports for travel and PCard purchases
  • Assist the Department with travel requests
  • Obtain the proper travel reimbursement paperwork and process travel expense reports
  • Obtain backup documentation for PCard account codes for purchases made and process PCard expense reports
  • Serve as the point of contact for PCard audits
