| Job Summary/Basic Function |
Provides administrative support for the Athletics Department. Administrative functions are performed under minimal direction and include responsibility for managing official visits for on-campus recruits, coordinating and reconciling purchases of goods and services (including the ordering of all team gear and apparel), and assisting in managing athletics game contracts. This position is also the first point of contact for general Athletics Department inquiries and must be able to communicate effectively and professionally both via email and over the phone. These responsibilities require discretion, judgement, knowledge of administrative processes, diplomacy, and the ability to work independently. This position also handles budgetary responsibilities which include purchasing, p-card reconciliations, and funds transfers.
This position is also responsible for the coordination and management of all athletic team travel, including the booking of airfare, ground transportation, and hotels for the university’s NCAA teams.
Provides supervisory oversight and training to hourly employees.
