The Office of Athletics is seeking candidates for Graduate Assistant for Assistant Coach.

The Athletics Assistant Coach position is a part-time position that resides in the Athletic Department. The position has
the least level of commitment and minimal leadership expectation with a primary function of assisting at practices and/or
attending games.
Main Responsibilities:

• Assisting the Head coach in sport instruction
  
• In game/contest/meet coaching
•  Individual skill development
  
• Team development
  
• Game/contest/meet planning
  
• Scouting of opponents
  
• Education, mentorship and leadership of student-athletes
  
• Adhering to/enforcing TCNJ, NJAC and NCAA compliance
  
• Secondary responsibilities include assisting the Head Coach in recruitment of student-athletes, alumni engagement or
  team fundraising efforts.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous collegiate playing and/or coaching experience; 2-4 years-experience required
  
• Must be able to demonstrate a strong knowledge and understanding of the sport
  
• Desired candidate must have a strong work ethic, a passion for intercollegiate athletics, and a desire to work in a successful athletic department
