The Athletic Communications Associate will work with members of the athletic communications team on the day-to-day operations of the office. The ACA will play a significant role in all facets of the department’s athletic communications needs.
This is a full time, benefits eligible, salaried position with a hiring range of $47,675 - $59,604 per year.
Core Responsibilities:
Write releases and stories for competitions, events, special awards and other human interest pieces.
Maintain in-competition statistics and assist student workers, or broadcasters as needed at home events.
Assist with creating programs for home athletics events.
Helps maintain the athletics website.
Assists with photography, videography and graphic design services within the athletic communications department.
Serve as a liaison to media and respond to general queries and requests, as well as coordinate coach/student-athlete interviews.
Assist with archiving information, and working with Special Collections on special projects and display cases.
Help maintain information on Hall of Fame candidates, as well as, assist with preparations for each induction class.

Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree required. Emphasis on Communications, Sport Management, Journalism or Public Relations preferred.
Minimum of one year of full-time experience in athletic communications.
Must be competent in all statistical inputting software (StatCrew, PrestoSports & NCAA Live Stats).
Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Premiere Pro and InDesign. Advanced graphic design, photo and video editing skills are preferred.
Must possess strong writing and editorial skills, along with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Must know how to use a camera (photo and/or video)
Advanced knowledge of social media is preferred.
Must adhere to all Middlebury College, NESCAC and NCAA rules.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
Criminal Background Check Must be able to lift up to 50lbs. Early mornings, late nights and weekends are required and frequent. Must be able to travel with teams up to five times a year.
