The Athletics Coordinator of Internal Operations will assist our 25 NCAA teams, as well as club and intramural programs, with the management of resources and facilities. They will be responsible for developing, scheduling, and managing significant athletic events, including overseeing athletic banquets and theme nights, while partnering with sponsors and necessary campus departments. The Athletics Coordinator of Internal Operations will also process equipment and purchase orders for the athletic department and support game day operations as necessary.
Essential Responsibilities:
Apply Now• Handle day-to-day business-related internal operations and financial operations of the athletic department, including managing travel and budgetary expenditures for 25 NCAA intercollegiate Division II programs
• Process all purchase orders for the department and assist head coaches with budget management
• Oversee athletic special events while partnering with the university events team and applicable sponsors
• Support game day operations by ensuring student workers or other staff are scheduled for athletic events
• Assist with preparing the NCAA financial report and the Department of Education Equity in Athletics (EADA) report. Provides accurate data to be included in the NCAA Demographics & Sports Sponsorship Summary, CURMA, and any audits, as needed
• Knowledge of accounting, budgeting, finance, and business
• Knowledge of University and Athletics Department policies and procedures
• Knowledge of NCAA Agreed-Upon Procedures for Financial Reporting
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills
• Ability to interpret and apply regulations, policies and procedures.
• Decision-making and problem-solving skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive material and information
• Bachelor’s degree required
• The ability to work some evenings and weekends
