Job Description:
Primary Function: Responsible for creating high quality digital content that reflects the mission, values and identity of the University of Northern Iowa Athletics Department; develops social media plan for all sponsored athletic programs; plans, produces and edits photo and video content for social media, website and other digital platforms, as well as in-game video boards; regularly attends home sporting events and some away events to capture photo and video content; manages and oversees all photo, video and graphic design interns; and builds impactful relationships with coaches and student-athletes to help elevate the UNI Athletics brand.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in journalism, electronic media, graphic design, broadcasting or related field plus at least one year of experience with video editing and working with social media outlets required. Student experience will be considered. Evening and weekend work along with occasional travel necessary. Must abide by the rules of the NCAA, the Missouri Valley Conference, the Missouri Valley Football Conference, the Big XII Conference and the University of Northern Iowa. A successful candidate will have a passion for sports, be creative, organized, and able to work well under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
