The Athletics Facilities Professional is responsible for the coordination of scheduling, access, practices, upgrades, and primary point of contact for all affiliated users.,
This position requires the ability work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, and travel as needed.

Develops, delegate, and prioritize day-to-day tasks of facility staff, scheduling event preparation and staff responsibilities.
Coordinate work of service providers both internally and externally to the unit. Including directing repairs for facilities.
Game day responsibilities, including but not limited to oversight of on-campus and off-campus facilities, maintenance, and venue set up and take down.
Establish policies to modernize needs of department creating innovative techniques.
Supervise staff and outside vendors ensuring protocols are maintained and safety protocols are followed.
Manage facility banners and graphic design set-up, modernizing the look of athletic facilities.
Manage capital inventory, directly responsible for maintaining accurate records, databases, and overseeing yearly audits.
Oversight of equipment upgrades, maintaining maintenance schedules and recommending future upgrade projects with a 3, 5, and 10 year plan.
Oversight of fleet management, insurance, safety, and ensure all driver's receive proper education and training before operating a state vehicle, rental, or HOV vehicle.
Attend conference and trade association meetings to maintain industry knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Proficiency using Microsoft Suite programs.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to multi-task with frequent interruptions.
Dedication and motivation to initiate, lead and support value-added projects.
Meticulous attention to detail.
Knowledge of NCAA, University of Arizona, and Big 12 rules and procedures.
Self motivated, results=oriented, and has a positive demeanor.
Demonstrated organizational skills, including the ability to plan, establish priorities and successfully manage multiple priority projects.
Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain positive interpersonal relations.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all organizational levels, and project a positive, professional attitude.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.
Five years of relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience required.
Must have a valid driver’s license and ability to drive according to the University Fleet Safety Policy .
Six years of experience.
Management and/or leadership experience.
Experience with a college or university facilities or event management operations.

Notice of Availability of the Annual Security and Fire Safety Report
In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act), each year the University of Arizona releases an Annual Security Report (ASR) for each of the University’s campuses. These reports disclose information including Clery crime statistics for the previous three calendar years and policies, procedures, and programs the University uses to keep students and employees safe, including how to report crimes or other emergencies and resources for crime victims. As a campus with residential housing facilities, the Main Campus ASR also includes a combined Annual Fire Safety report with information on fire statistics and fire safety systems, policies, and procedures.
