GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
The Game Day Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of event operations on game days. This role
ensures that all events run smoothly, providing an exceptional experience for fans, athletes, and staff. The Game
Day Manager will coordinate logistics, manage staff, and troubleshoot any issues that arise during events. This
is a 9-month position that runs from August 15th to May 15th.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
• Event Coordination: Plan and execute all game day operations, including setup, logistics, and
teardown.
• Game Scheduling and departure: Work with coaches on game times and schedule conflicts
• Staff Management: Supervise game day staff, including ushers, security, concessions, and volunteers,
ensuring that all roles are filled, and duties are performed efficiently.
• Game Day Administrator: Serve as tournament director and travel as needed to tournaments. Assist
with all admin calls.
• Fan Experience: Enhance the overall fan experience by addressing concerns and ensuring a welcoming
atmosphere.
• Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on game
day, including teams, officials, and vendors.
• Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols; coordinate
emergency response plans as needed.
• Budget Management: Assist in managing game day budgets and expenses, ensuring all operations
remain within financial guidelines.
• Post-Event Review: Conduct post-event evaluations to assess successes and areas for improvement,
compiling feedback for future events.
• Other Duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/ABILITIES FOR THE JOB
Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Event Management, or related field preferred.
Experience
• Proven experience in event management or operations, particularly in a sports setting.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Minimum physical exertion. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required
to sit, communicate, reach and manipulate objects, tools or controls. The position requires mobility. Duties
involve moving materials weighing up to 5 pounds on a regular basis and up to 20 pounds on an occasional
basis.
