TITLE:  Athletics Game Day Operations Coordinator/Technology Manager

DEPARTMENT:  Athletics

REPORTS TO:  Director for Intercollegiate Athletics

POSITION SUMMARY:  Evangel University is seeking applicants for the position of Athletics Game Day Operations Coordinator / Technology Manager. This is a 12-month, full-time position with full benefits. This position communicates all game day operations instructions to traveling teams and to the necessary parties here on campus for all home events. This person oversees technology in the AG Financial Arena and oversees video board needs at Nixa stadium for home football games. Is over instant replay software, and live production of all athletic events.  Assist with game day set up and assists SID. The successful candidate must abide by NAIA, KCAC, and Evangel University policies and regulations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Communicate travel ops with opponents
• Communicate home needs with necessary parties
• AG Financial Tech
• Backend Stream setup
• Manage Instant Replay software
• Live Production of all athletic events 
• Oversee all Videoboard content (AGFA & Nixa)

• Assist Coaches in need and trouble-shooting items: 

  • Example: Train all coaches on scoreboards and sound systems in AGFA
  • Schedule and contact Daktronics when scoreboard needs maintenance/repairs
  • Contact Chad Rose on all LED signage when needed
  • Coordinate delivery of items, as needed
  • Contact Nevco for scoreboard needs at Coryell Field 

• Assist in Graphic Design for athletics 

• Oversee scripts for games

• Athletic liaison with band for games and athletic events 

• Assist with scheduling of game day experience

• Assist with taking headshots for all sports

• Assist with editing headshots for website

• Manage/maintain historical photographs and records

• Assist SID with online and physical schedule creation

• Recording statistics at games

• Game day set up 

• Manage and oversee scheduling work study students, campus employment, and volunteers for games

• Responsible for coordinating all game broadcasts

• Hall of Fame tech

• Work closely with the SID and Chief of Staff to ensure all game day ops are in place 

• Other duties as assigned 

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Understands, appreciate, and articulate the mission of Evangel University; respects the institution’s relationship to the Assemblies of God denomination and has a desire and ability to work collaboratively with varied constituencies, including vice presidents, deans, department chairs, faculty staff and students.
2. Demonstrated skills, knowledge and experience in the design and execution of marketing and communications activities. 
3. Experience overseeing the design and production of print materials and publications. 
4. Computer literacy in word processing, data base management and page layout (for example, Photoshop, InDesign, and PrestoSports, Blue frame, Video Board Software). 
5. Experience with various social media outlets 
6. Commitment to working with shared leadership and in cross-functional teams.
7. Excellent oral and written communication skills. 
8. Ability to manage multiple projects at a time. 
9. Bachelor’s degree in journalism, sports marketing, and/or public relations desired. Graduate degree in a related field is desirable.

1. 2 to 4 years of experience
