Summary of Job Duties: The Athletics Information Technology Specialist is responsible for delivering an exceptional level of service and support to athletics staff and student-athletes. The Athletics Information Technology Specialist is also responsible for supporting athletics events and event technology, ensuring an exceptional fan experience. These events are scheduled after regular business hours and on the weekends.
Regular, reliable and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, or a related field
At least two years of experience in an end-user facing technology support role including demonstrated ability to deploy and maintain AV equipment, large video display systems, desktops, laptops, mobile devices, networks, and server-based systems and applications to include but not limited to Windows, Mac OS, iOS and Android based operating systems
Service oriented and end-user centric mindset focused on providing exceptional support
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with connected audio/visual systems and venue technology. including digital signage, interactive displays, and presentation systems
Experience with QSYS control and DSP platforms
Experience working with wireless networking technology
Experience with Creston systems
Experience with NCAA & SEC statistics programs
Experience with Sports Analytics systems and vendors
Experience administering common hypervisors and virtualization technology
Basic knowledge of industry standard cybersecurity practices
Familiarity with SEC and NCAA rules and regulations
Familiarity with Athletic Department operations
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Knowledge and support of Microsoft Desktop Operating Systems
Knowledge and support of Microsoft Server Operating Systems
Knowledge and support of Microsoft Office 365
Knowledge and support of SSO security practices
