Duties/Expectations :
Language and Learning Assistance
-Work one-on-one with students on remediation of fundamental skills needed for academic success
-Provide structure, organization, time management, and planning assistance (academic coaching) unique to their learning style
-Work with Coaches, Guidance Counselors, and Admissions Services to identify at-risk student athletes and obtain any prior assessments
-Facilitate screening/testing of learning-disabled student athletes and ensure implementation of accommodations
-Assist with Summer Bridge
-Assesses English skills of student-athletes who are on recruiting visits
-Work specifically with individual student-athletes who are admitted to BYU with non-proficient English skills
-Provide one-on-one support with limited English learners
-Identify, hire, and assist content support tutors who work directly with limited English learners
-Instruct limited English skills on methods to improve English language
Other Duties As Assigned
-Assist with language and learning specialist projects within the Built4Life center
