Serve as the media liaison for assigned sports (Primary: Volleyball, Women's Basketball, Men & Women's Golf | Secondary: Men's Basketball)
Perform game-day operations related to media;
Assist with managing the athletic website, acusports.com;
Display leadership qualities and the ability to work as a team with various departments and staff members;
Other duties as assigned by the Assistant AD for Strategic Communications.
Serve as the media liaison for assigned sports (Primary: Cross Country, Volleyball, Baseball, Track and Field | Secondary: Football, Men’s and Women’s Basketball).
Scheduling and conducting interviews/press conferences.
Creating Media Game Notes.
Identify lead stories for teams and student-athletes in order to build awareness of ACU Athletics;
Travel with assigned sports to away events throughout the year.
Assist with handling requests from outside media sources for interviews, statements, and credential distribution.
Perform game-day operations related to media.
Ensuring each assigned sport has the adequate amount of staff to full operate a game day smoothly.
Oversee all elements as it relates but not limited to: press box, scorer’s table, game statistics, online streaming and pre/post press conferences for assigned sports.
Work closely with Broadcast Coordinator to ensure seamless flow of scheduled broadcasts.
Assist with managing the athletic website, acusports.com;
Produce regular press releases (event previews, recaps, and other news) in order to enhance the brand and tell the stories of ACU Athletics;
Work with the General Manager of Abilene Sports Properties to ensure all corporate sponsorship agreements are being fulfilled as it relates to the athletic website.

Bachelor’s Degree and interest in Communications, Public Relations or related field.
Capacity to interpret and review manuals, reports and proposals.
Must be able to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends.
Experience managing a staff.

Support of the mission of ACU to educate students for Christian service and leadership throughout the world.
The scope of the position frequently requires weekend and evening work, long hours and occasional overnight, out-of-town travel.

Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
Extended periods of walking and climbing stairs.
Possible exposure to weather extremes.
