This position is primarily responsible for providing front desk coverage and general duties which include, but are not limited to, files management, calendar management, ordering, customer service, and light cleaning in the main athletics center (Gordon Lozier Athletic Center).

Essential Functions/Common Tasks:

• Assist in organizing and maintaining physical files
• Assist in scheduling facility use requests to include preparing contracts, collecting fees, creating/updating facility signs, verifying insurance (COI), and notifying security
• Assist in managing multiple calendars and keeping white board current
• Assist in placing and managing orders
• Use various software systems
• Answer phones/take and relay messages, greet visitors, monitor foot-traffic in the athletics center, ensure reception area is presentable and welcoming
• Distribute parcels of mail and notify coaches/staff of packages received
• Keep bulletin boards neat and current
• Assist with copying and faxing

Reception Area Cleanliness

• Ensure a well-organized workspace
• Empty trashcans
• Vacuum/dust/upkeep of reception area and conference room

Other Functions

• Provide clerical support to head coach
• Assist with game day operations

Marginal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performs other duties as requested.

Qualifications/Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of one (1) year of previous office experience and customer service preferred.

• Basic knowledge of computer/keyboard skills, preferably Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point).

• Must have strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.

• Must possess strong attention to detail, good organizational skills with the ability to ensure accurate work.

• Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality regarding employee/student-related information.

• Ability to work independently, but as part of a team concept.

Working Conditions:

• Works in a loud environment
• Occasional bending, kneeling, crouching, walking, and lifting
• Required to work with cleaning chemicals on a regular basis
