The Department of Athletics will support the university mission by developing and maintaining a top-quality Division II intercollegiate athletics program that is committed to providing a positive and fulfilling academic and athletic experience for all student-athletes. As a member of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) and the NCAA Division II, CSU Pueblo Athletics plays a supporting role in the higher education mission while enhancing a sense of community, strengthening our identity, and playing a prominent role in enrollment management for the University.
This .75 FTE, year-round, benefits-eligible position provides an operations manager for the Department of Athletics. This position will provide support for the overall organization and management of the entire Athletic Department while reporting directly to the Vice President for Athletics and Strategic Partnerships. In accordance with the vision of the Department, this individual will have responsibilities across many areas, including administrative and account organization, management of the front-office, mailroom and student/work study assignments, support for the administration, support for staff and coaching staff, while working collaboratively with the business, human resources and procurement offices at CSU Pueblo. This person must work closely with the department’s business manager and be willing to assume other duties as assigned.
Primary Duties
Business functions : Monitors and facilitates all business activities in the Department, including but not limited to P-Card use, purchasing and travel activities, validating deposits and monitoring their execution; originates IDVs as required, originates journal order account changes, and monitors and executes all billing for department cell phone use.
Administrative functions : Provides administrative support to the Vice President of Athletics and Strategic Partnerships(as needed); handles all routine administrative matters including office management, correspondence and telephone messages; filing for records and auditing purposes and completion of equipment inventory. Assists with travel requests and processes; assists with preparation of reports and data bases; works with Human Resources on conducting background checks; acts as a resource regarding department policies and procedures; and maintains office organization and functions.
Athletics office functions : Provides front-line greeting and information for the public; hires and supervises work study students; orders and maintains office supplies and necessary departmental forms; ensures office and phone coverage 8am-5pm Monday-Friday.
Other support duties : Provides new employee orientation to department; gives support to coaching staff for summer sports camps including registration and record keeping; and provides administrative help at department special events, as needed.

Salary Range
$36,000 for .75 FTE position
