| Minimum Qualifications |
- 1–2 years of experience in live sports production, broadcast journalism, public address announcing, or related live-event communication roles
- Strong vocal delivery skills with clear diction, pacing, and audience engagement ability
- Experience working in high-pressure live event environments with real-time direction
- Ability to remain focused and professional for 3–5 hour events.
- Strong communication skills and ability to respond quickly to in-game changes
- Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays
- Ability to work consistently with athletic event schedules and last-minute changes
- High energy and engaging personality
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy under pressure
- Professional, reliable, and team-oriented approach in live event settings

| Desired Qualifications |
- Previous experience as a PA announcer or in-arena host
- Familiarity with collegiate athletics and game flow for sports such as basketball, soccer, volleyball, baseball, and softball
- Experience working within Division I athletics or similar high-level sports environments
- Strong understanding of NCAA game structure and in-game timing
- Experience working with live production teams and in-arena entertainment environments

| Position Purpose |
The Public Address (PA) Announcer serves as the voice of Oakland University Athletics during live home athletic events. This role is responsible for delivering clear, energetic, and professional in-game announcements that enhance the fan experience and support game operations across multiple sports.

| Job Duties |
- Provide live play-by-play style announcements, introductions, and in-game reads for athletic events
- Deliver accurate roster introductions, scoring updates, promotions, and sponsorship messages
- Maintain energy, timing, and professionalism throughout games to support atmosphere and engagement
- Take direction quickly from production and game operations staff via headset or communication systems
- Collaborate with game operations, marketing, and production teams to ensure smooth event execution
- Adapt tone and delivery based on sport, event type, and game flow
