Position Summary

This position aims to develop and implement strength and conditioning programs for assigned varsity teams. The Intern Strength and Conditioning Coach will also assist in all areas of the strength and conditioning department, including maintaining the weight room. This is a part-time, seasonal position that works from July 15th through May 16th.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

• Develop strength & conditioning programs for 2-3 varsity programs.
• Assist with 1-2 varsity programs assigned by the Senior Associate Athletics Director and Head Strength & Conditioning Coach.
• Assist in cleaning and maintaining the Pitt Center Weight Room.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, & Other Attributes

• The minimum requirement is a bachelor’s degree in exercise science or a related field.
• 1 year coaching or interning in College Strength & Conditioning.
• CSCS through the NSCA or SCCC through CSCCa
• CPR/AED certified
