ORGANIZATIONAL SUMMARY:
The USF Department of Intercollegiate Athletics is an integral part of USF and its mission by sponsoring a diverse and nationally competitive Division I athletic program. The program serves several significant constituencies, including its student-athletes, who are students first. The most important priority of the program is the progress of the student-athletes toward graduation. Other priorities include the health, fitness and emotional development of student-athletes at USF.
Intercollegiate Athletics provide a sense of collegiality, allegiance, and pride for students, staff, faculty, alumni, boosters and the greater Tampa Bay community at large and serves as a focal point for their support. POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Assoc. AD / Branding & Digital Strategy, the USF Athletics Creative Video Coordinator will plan, edit and produce all videography for the University's Athletic Department & assigned sports to support the success of the University's various NCAA Division 1 intercollegiate teams. This position coordinates the production and creation of video content for assigned sports which are disseminated through the Athletics venues' video boards, websites, social media and other multimedia outlets. This role will work closely with various groups in external relations, including but not limited to communications, marketing, development and ticket sales. Adheres to all NCAA, Conference, and University rules and regulations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinates the production of video highlight packages for assigned sports. Deliver videos that uniquely and creatively engage audiences, including prospective student-athletes, that are utilized as a promotional tool for USF Athletics. Collaborates to create concepts, plan production and produce media. Edits, produces and makes copies of athletic video for uplinks/satellite feeds, music videos, short story video packages.
Films assigned athletic events inclusive of during practices, games and athletic events. Conceptualizes and designs videotaping plan with regard to camera positions and assignments. Prepares for transportation of equipment to athletic events. Generates edited content and distributes to the appropriate personnel following an event. Label all footage utilizing the department standards to maintain archives of past athletic events.
Oversees the production of video content for in-venue video boards of assigned sports. Serves as the primary content creator for in-venue production team. Creates hype videos, highlights and digital motion video graphics for video boards and supporting technologies.
Performs routine maintenance on equipment (troubleshooting and maintenance of video equipment for on and off-site athletic events). Maintains computer files and software and performs routine maintenance on equipment. Performs upgrades, troubleshooting, software configuration and problem resolution with external technical service providers.
Researches and assesses new videographic methods and technology, while making recommendations for new equipment and process enhancements, as appropriate. Stays up-to-date on industry trends and technologies to ensure that USF Athletics remains at the forefront of the digital media landscape.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
MINIMUM:
This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications or related field and one to three years experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
FLSB1310 Equivalency:
4 years of directly relevant experience may be substituted for bachelor's degree.
PREFERRED:
Bachelor's degree and two years experience working in college athletics or professional sports. Strong working knowledge and demonstrated experience with video production. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Working knowledge of Adobe software.
