Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in a related field and two or more years of related work experience with a collegiate or professional athletics program in the capacity of a videographer. Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite. Proficient knowledge of post-production editing systems. Proficient knowledge of camera operation, lighting schematics and ability to shoot and edit field and studio assignments at a high level. Ability to provide routine maintenance of equipment, backup digital content, log and catalog raw footage. Effective administrative and organizational skills and ability to prioritize time-sensitive tasks and projects according to deadlines. Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations. Ability to travel and work hours on nights, weekends and holidays. Grade 7 (Salary).

Position Description:

The Video Coordinator for Men’s Basketball manages all aspects of internal video related activities and operations for the University’s Division I intercollegiate Men’s Basketball program

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide support to Director and Men’s Basketball Coaches in all areas related to video production, analysis, and management. Manage all video-related activities for the Basketball program, including the coordination, management, and video analysis of practice, opponents, and game film for study, development and scouting purposes.
• Plan and coordinate the development of analytics of player performance for the Men’s Basketball team as well as opponents, including the monitoring of statistical trends of lineup combinations and communication of data prior to and during competitions. Plan and coordinate the development of individual player video edits of upcoming opponents including analysis of performance tendencies.
• Create and maintain extensive database and video library of all plays including written diagrams and video supplement with ability to reference and communicate such information to the coaching staffs as required. Conceptualize and design, with input from coaching staff, videotaping plan with regard to camera positions and assignments during practices and games.
• Supervise, manage, and mentor the assigned graduate students and student managers assisting with filming duties.
• Responsible for the preparation and ensuring the arrival of all equipment for transportation to athletic events. Participate in the coordination of film exchanges in accordance with ACC and NCAA guidelines, which includes documenting number of copies, adhering to deadlines, shipping guidelines, and formats. Perform routine maintenance on equipment that includes troubleshooting and maintenance of video equipment and software.
• Responsible for strict adherence to all NCAA, ACC, and University rules and regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director

Preferred Qualifications:

• Three (3) years of related work experience in video and statistical analysis at a Division I collegiate men’s basketball program assisting coaches in preparation of a game plan.

Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
