Manchester University is seeking a passionate and driven Baseball Assistant Coach to help build and sustain a competitive NCAA Division III program. This role partners closely with the Head Coach to develop student-athletes academically and athletically while contributing to recruiting, operations, and team success. The ideal candidate is committed to student development, sportsmanship, and fostering a positive team culture on and off the field.
What You'll Do:
Support all aspects of the baseball program, including coaching, recruiting, scheduling, and team management
Identify, recruit, and retain student-athletes aligned with academic success and program values
Monitor and support student-athlete eligibility and academic progress in partnership with campus resources
Assist with practice planning, game preparation, and player development
Coordinate travel, equipment, inventory, and operational logistics
Contribute to fundraising initiatives and game day management
Promote a culture of accountability, sportsmanship, and adherence to NCAA and conference regulations

What You'll Need:
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Coaching and/or collegiate playing experience preferred; NCAA Division III experience a plus
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage diverse student populations
Commitment to professional development and continued learning
Knowledge of NCAA rules and willingness to complete required certifications
CPR/AED/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain)
