The Athletics Department at Southwestern College is seeking qualified individuals for the position of Graduate Assistant Coach for the Baseball program.
Position Description:
The primary duty for the position is assisting the Head Baseball Coach in daily and game operations and help with the strength and conditioning program throughout the fall, winter and spring. The graduate assistant will work mainly with hitters and infielders on a daily basis within the SC Baseball philosophy.
This position is responsible for assisting the head and assistant coach in all phases of the SC varsity and junior varsity baseball programs (coaching, committing to academic progress and success of the student-athletes, recruiting, coordination of fundraisers, camps and clinics). The successful applicant must be able to do the following:
Good character & communication skills, self-motivation, and leadership skills are essential. Graduate assistant coaches are expected to engage with a diverse student body by residing on campus, regularly dining in the cafeteria, and attending student-centered activities and events. Position compensated with graduate studies, housing, meal allowance, and coaching stipend.
Position compensated with graduate studies, housing, and coaching and meal stipend.
This position is on a 10-month contract (August 1 – May 31)
