Plymouth State University Baseball is seeking a highly motivated and knowledgeable Part-Time Pitching Coach to assist in the management, development, and instruction of the pitching staff. This position plays a critical role in player development, competitive preparation, and overall program success. The Pitching Coach will work collaboratively with the Head Coach and staff to implement the program’s pitching philosophy while maintaining alignment with NCAA Division III values.

Duties/Responsibilities
Pitching Staff Management
Oversee the daily operations and organization of the pitching staff
Assist in managing pitching roles, workloads, recovery, and readiness
Collaborate with the Head Coach on pitching plans, rotations, and bullpen usage
Support practice planning related to pitchers and pitching segments
Player Development & Instruction
Provide technical instruction in pitching mechanics, pitch design, command, and movement
Develop individualized improvement plans for pitchers
Emphasize arm care, throwing programs, and long-term pitcher health
Utilize video, data, and feedback tools to enhance development when available
Assist pitchers with mental preparation, routines, and competitive approach
Practice & Game Responsibilities
Run and organize bullpen sessions and pitching-specific practice segments
Assist with pregame preparation and in-game pitching management
Provide in-game feedback and adjustments in coordination with the coaching staff
Assist with charting, scouting, and post-game evaluation of pitching performance
Program & Administrative Support
Assist with recruiting support as directed by the Head Coach (within NCAA rules)
Support team culture, standards, and accountability
Represent Plymouth State Baseball professionally at all times
Assist with additional program duties as assigned
Qualifications
Playing and/or coaching experience at the collegiate or advanced high school level
Strong knowledge of pitching mechanics, development, and arm care
Ability to teach, communicate, and connect effectively with student-athletes
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel as required
Commitment to NCAA Division III philosophy and student-athlete development
Preferred Qualifications
Prior collegiate coaching experience
Familiarity with video analysis and pitching development tools
Recruiting or player evaluation experience
