Job Summary

This part-time position will serve Concessions customers food and drinks at various athletic events on campus during the Fall and Spring Semesters. Position reports to a Bon Appetit Supervisor. Weekly hours are not guaranteed as position is based on an as-needed basis for athletic events.

Core Duties

Follow all Bon Appétit cash handling standards

Monitor and maintain retail and display items, beverages, coffee, and condiment area

Ensure that all retail and display items at their station are meeting the pre-established Great Expectations display standards

Serve customers in an efficient and friendly manner; resolve customer concerns

Greet customers, smile, and process sales properly

Keep cashier area and general cafe clean, utilizing proper cleaning products and sanitation standards

Responsible for inputting sales into cash register – cash, credit card, and ID card transactions, according to Bon Appetit’s cash handling standards

Count, verify, and reconcile daily sales

Be courteous, positive, and helpful to all customer requests

Seek assistance from management or supervisors as needed

Other relevant duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

Must be able to work in a crowded environment

Must possess good communication skills and be able to work in a team environment

Must be able to multi-task

Must be able to perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision,

Interact professionally and positively with other employees, customers and suppliers, work effectively as a team contributor on all assignments.

Must follow all safety procedures

Must follow all University & Bon Appetit student employment policies

May be required to possess or obtain current Oregon Food Handlers card

Preferred Qualifications

Previous service experience preferred, not required.

Physical Requirements

Frequently bend, stoop and perform extensive walking

Exert well-paced mobility to move from different areas of facility as service and production demands require

Occasionally exert up to 20 pounds of lifting force and/or negligible amount of force to move objects
