The bookkeeper will serve to make athletic contests hosted by Boyce College run smoothly and excellently by their support role as bookkeeper for collegiate volleyball and basketball and as ball shagger for collegiate soccer matches.

JOB SUMMARY:

The bookkeeper will serve to make athletic contests hosted by Boyce College run smoothly and excellently by their support role as bookkeeper for collegiate volleyball and basketball and as ball shagger for collegiate soccer matches.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

The employee in this position will have the following essential job functions:

• Works the scorer’s table at Boyce volleyball (fall sport) and basketball (winter sport) home games as bookkeeper, tracking essential statistics and recording them in the official book for each match or game
• As bookkeeper, will be in ongoing communication with the game or match officials and coaches of teams
• Serves Boyce soccer home matches as ball boy/girl in the fall
• Helps set up and take down Boyce Athletics home events
• Attends all scheduled CPR trainings and helps work Fall Festival
• Attends staff meetings led by the Game Day Manager
• Fill-in for priority and program personnel in emergency situations

Performs other duties as may be assigned by Game Day Manager

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

Excellent listening skills, attention to detail, ability to multitask, ability to follow closely a live collegiate athletic contest, clear communicator, intermediate knowledge of volleyball and basketball, elementary knowledge of soccer

EDUCATION:

The person in this position should have a high school diploma.

EXPERIENCE:

The person in this position should have experience in athletic events.

Preferred: at least one year of high school playing experience
