General facility maintenance which includes but not limited to repair of any broken items within the Athletics complex (seats, equipment, etc), carpentry and paint projects as assigned. Brush and groom football game field, indoor and outdoor practice fields.General grounds maintenance which includes but not limited to preparing football, basketball, baseball, softball, soccer, track and cross country and turf for practice and competition. Operating and maintaining equipment and tools needed to perform duties. Clean-up, blow and sweep after events at football, basketball, baseball, softball and soccer tracks. Several facilities/fields may have activity on a given day. This position would assist the director of Facilities and Grounds, in his/her absence, of having to make decisions regarding the fields. This decision making can occur on a daily basis. Athletics and the University have a lot invested in these different playing fields. Without the proper care, these faculties/fields could be severely damaged.Venue preparation for events which includes inspecting sites to insure readiness for competitions on the day of event, familiarity ofNCAAregulations pertaining to venues such as height of basketball goals from floor to rim, being on-call to event and during event to ensure problems are resolved timely. Several hours of overtime on game days and pre game days.

Education & Experience
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED
Two years experience in building maintenance with a background in mechanical equipment including hand tools, blowers, rider machines and lifts; or the equivalent of 600 hours Vocational/Technical education in a related building trade field.
Must have a valid driver's license.
Knowledge of Federal and State building codes, safety regulations, and workplace practices.
Must be able to lift in excess of 50 lbs.
Must be able to work in confined spaces.
Provide event support as assistant to direct supervisor, assuring all facility resources availability.
Highly developed ability to observe and take note, good communication skills, ability to follow instructions closely, ability to work with very little supervison.
Ability to access tight spaces to perform job, pass a respirator fit test, and wear full face respirator for extended periods. May need to climb and/or work from stairs, ladders, scaffold, etc. for extended periods. Ability to work in a squat position or on knees for extended periods.
Broad general mechanical/electrical/electronic background. General building skill experience (i.e. carpentry, plumbing,HVAC, etc.).
Ability to become proficient in the use of Aim Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) software and the use of mobile technology.
