Job Summary:

Ohio Northern University is seeking multiple bus drivers for short-haul or 250 mile radius day trips. Primarily for field trips and Athletics.

Scope:

Part-Time/On-Call Bus Driver for Ohio Northern University.Multiple opportunities are available.

Principal Responsibilities

• Obey traffic laws, safety procedures, and transit regulations.- Following the planned route/trip and schedule for departure times and stops.- Assist passengers- Communicate with passengers and employers regarding delays or any issues along a route/trip.- Check the bus tires, lights, and oil when needed for basic maintenance.- Attentive to traffic and weather conditions and ensuring passenger safety.- Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

• Excellent communication skills- Clean driving record

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma/GED- Valid Ohio driver’s license with proper endorsements (CDL/Class B, AirBrake, and P1S endorsement)- Previous experience as a bus driver- Working knowledge of first aid procedures
