The Athletics Department at Georgia State University is seeking to hire a Business Affairs Coordinator. WHAT WILL YOU DO:

Serve as liaison to disbursements, purchasing and GSU Foundation for matters of accounts payable and provide service to the coaches and administrative staff.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Assists in creating, preparing and monitoring several sports budgets and reviews individual budgets with coaches to assist in budget planning for the entire fiscal years.
• Oversees reconciliation for purchases requisitions; administer P-Card programs for department and manages contracts with vendors; verifies availability of funds for purchase orders and travel advances.
• Develops procedures for efficient business office practices and provides monthly training to coaches and staff on policies and procedures for contracts, travel, payment, and other business- related processes.
• Meets quarterly with coaches and administrators to identify areas of concern and develop a plan to remain on budget.
• Processes all payable for student-athlete tuition and fees, meal plans, and book scholarships.
• Serve as backup to HR Office.

Qualifications

:

Bachelor's degree and two years of business management experience; or a combination of education and related experience.
