Assist the Assistant AD for Fiscal Operations with all accounting functions, administrative reports, and other business activities for the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics.
The Business Manager provides oversight of accounts payable processes and administers a variety of budgeting and accounting duties within the Athletics department. Duties include, but are not limited to:
Oversee and reconcile all department travel processes. Serve as primary liaison with campus travel office and Anthony Travel agency.
Audit travel expenditures and claims.
Oversee and process travel-related procurement card transactions. Keep informed of appropriate travel-related policies.
Provide travel training to all department personnel as needed.
Reconcile and assist with fiscal administration for the department/unit, including but not limited to budgets, contracts, payroll, employment, travel, and/or purchasing.
Maintain an efficient system of receiving, posting, and depositing revenue and receiving, verifying, posting, and processing vouchers for payment of goods and services.
Transfer funds between accounts following established guidelines.
Prepare various accounting schedules, statements, and reports for monthly and annual reporting.
Reconcile division financial records with university accounting records.
Assist in the preparation of the annual budget.

Education:
The successful candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Sports Management, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
Experience
One (1) year of experience in collegiate athletics, professional sports, or related field is required.
Experience in fund accounting.
Knowledge of applicable rules and standards of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (
MEAC
) and National Collegiate Athletic Association (
NCAA
).
