Bowdoin College is seeking candidates for the position of Casual Athletic Trainer. This position will help coordinate care for a variety of sports within the 31 varsity and club sports offered at the college. Under the supervision of the Head Athletic Trainer, Athletic Trainer will assist in prevention, recognition, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of student-athlete injuries.
Bowdoin supports the medical model for athletic training. Come join a vibrant staff of 6 athletic trainers. The Athletic Trainer will work closely with all entities within the Bowdoin College Health Center, and primarily with the MidCoast Medical Group (MaineHealth) that hosts our team of physicians, surgeons and physical therapists. This is a casual, part-time position.
The hourly rate for this position is $45.00/hour.
A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited athletic training or internship program is required; a Master’s in a related field of Sports Medicine is preferred. Knowledge of NCAA regulations and certification by the National Athletic Trainer’s Association required. NATABOC certification, CPR/FPR/AED/SFA certification required (instructor preferred). A Maine State ATC license is required.
1 year of experience as a collegiate athletic trainer is preferred.
