Other Conditions : Position is a temporary casual hire position and offers no benefits. 89 day appointment, not to exceed 40 hours/week. Hours may vary. All positions require successful completion of a background check.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Performs other duties as required.
* Essential functions of the position. The performance of these functions is the reason that the job exists.
Minimum Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited four year college or university;
Two (2) years of experience coaching competitive beach volleyball at the high school, club, college or professional level.
Knowledge of women’s beach volleyball as competed at the collegiate level.
Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills.
Demonstrated ability to interpret and present information and ideas clearly and accurately in writing, verbally and by preparation of reports and other materials.
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external organizations, groups, team leaders and members, and individuals.
Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays and travel.
Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with people of diverse backgrounds.
Valid driver's license.
First Aid, CPR and AED certification by the employment start date.
Computer, cell phone, and social media technology competency.
Or any equivalent combination of education and/or professional work experience which provides the required education, knowledge, skills and abilities as indicated. Desirable Qualifications:
Division I Women's Beach Volleyball coaching experience.
Ability to understand and work effectively in Hawai'i's multi-cultural society.
