Full Time / Part Time:  Part time
 
Other Conditions:  Position is a temporary casual hire position and offers no benefits, hours not to exceed 19 hours per week.  Continuous recruitment until programmatic needs are met.  All positions require successful completion of a background check.
 
Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist in the tennis camp/clinics by reinforcing positive attitudes and tennis techniques. Assist the camp director in setting tennis courts with necessary equipment. 
• Lead campers with warm-up and agility drills. 
• Assist with teaching skills and techniques along the philosophies of UH tennis coaching staff. Suggest tennis drills based on the level of their assigned group of campers to the leading coaches. 
• Assist in the monitoring and safety of the participants. 
• Promote and foster a positive environment, appropriate behavior and sportsmanship by all participants and employees.
• Know, recognize and comply with the laws, policies, rules and regulations governing the University of Hawai‘i and its employees, and the rules of the NCAA and affiliated conferences as now constituted or as may be amended in the future.   Immediately advises the Director of Athletics or designee if there is reasonable cause to believe violations, whether by employees, students, or others, have occurred or will occur.

• Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications:

• Experience playing or coaching tennis at the collegiate level. 

• Understanding of the philosophy of the UH tennis coaching staff.
