Position Description: Culver-Stockton College is seeking two dedicated and qualified Certified Athletic Trainers to join our Athletics Department. Our Certified Athletic Trainers work on 10- month contracts, August 1 st – May31st, of each year and are paid over 12 months (August to July). We are looking to build our department with a focus on competitive salaries and benefits and positive work-life balance within the traditional setting The Certified Athletic Trainers will play a crucial role in the well-being and performance of our student-athletes. These individuals will work closely with our coaching staff, medical professionals, and student-athletes to provide top-notch sports medicine care. C SC fields 21 NAIA sports which compete in the Heart of America Athletic Conference. There is also an opportunity to serve as a preceptor in our CAATE-accredited Master of Athletic Training program.

• C-SC will cover all Missouri licensure fees, and most professional dues.
• Professional development opportunities and continuing education fees covered as approved by the College.

• Limited to no travel for team coverage.
• Located minutes from Quincy, IL and Hannibal, MO, with proximity to Iowa City, IA and St. Louis, Mo.

Responsibilities:

• Assess, treat, and rehabilitate athletic injuries for student-athletes.
• Develop and implement injury prevention programs.
• Collaborate with coaching staff to create individualized training plans.
• Attend practices, games, and athletic events to provide immediate medical care as needed.
• Maintain accurate medical records for all student-athletes.
• Coordinate with team physicians and other healthcare professionals.
• Educate student-athletes on injury prevention and proper nutrition.
• Assist with the maintenance of athletic training facilities and equipment.
• Stay current with advancements in sports medicine and rehabilitation techniques.
• Travel is typically limited to football games and teams qualifying for post-season play.
• Possible sport coverage includes Football, M/W Soccer, M/W Volleyball, M/W Basketball, Softball, Baseball, or Women’s Lacrosse and will be determined by experience, best fit, and hopefully preference for each sport/team.
• Experience as a clinical preceptor to students within our CAATE accredited Master’s in Athletic Training program is also available.

Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree in athletic training is required, master’s degree preferred.
• BOC certified.
• Athletic Training licensed through the Missouri State Board of Healing Arts, or eligible.
• First Aid/CPR certification for the Professional Rescuer.
• Experience with EMRs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work with a wide variety of students, parents, coaches, and administrators.
• Ability to effectively treat and rehabilitate sports related injuries.
• Must be able to life and carry 50 pounds.
