Intercollegiate Athletics
This position will be responsible for assisting in the overall success of and day-to-day operations of two Athletic Dining Halls by providing assistance in the development and execution of strategies to deliver a high quality and nutritionally appropriate dining experience for our 550 student-athletes.
This position will be responsible for the preparation and production of recipes/menu items for the daypart assigned to them, while directing the service staff to provide an overall high-quality experience. This position will instill culinary knowledge in our team members to lead to increasing nutrition, food quality/taste, and cost effectiveness.
This individual will plan and manages day-to-day activities of food preparations and service functions ensuring an efficient and economical operation.
He or she will establish positive working relationships with staff and student-athletes to develop effective and efficient teams that work together and with others to accomplish the set goals and objectives and follow established department and university policies.

This individual will assist in developing/coordinating training and development program and opportunities for assigned staff and student-athletes.
He or she will Implement procedures to meet all health, sanitation, and safety standards including the safe storage, handling and transpiration of food and supplies in order to comply with all federal, state, local and all university standards and regulations.
Assist with daily operations: inspect, prep, prepare, test and evaluate the food you and your team are preparing for a meal for taste, quality, appearance and ensuring that the appropriate dietary information is provided. Work directly with the executive Chef and Performance Nutrition staff to develop appropriate menus.
Assist and coordinate the preparation, production and delivery of food services for special functions within the department.
Assist with and or directs the development of creative recipes, menu and special events to meet customer and concept needs.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Monday – Friday 5am-2:30pm, weekend availability
A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary
Preferred Qualifications: prior experience as a chef, preferably for athletes
Salary Range: $52,000 - $65,000 Annual
Grade: GGS-9E
