Ferrum College, an NCAA Division III institution located in Ferrum, Virginia, is looking for its next ChiefAthletics Compliance Officer and Associate Director of Athletics. This is a full-time, 12-month position that reports directly to the Director of Athletics. Ferrum College is a proud member of the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) currently in the process of transitioning to NCAA Division 2 and Conference Carolinas.
PRIMARY PURPOSE: Position will work on behalf of the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics to ensure institutional compliance with NCAA, and Conference Carolinas rules and regulations. The position is responsible for developing, administration and monitoring the compliance system for maintaining institutional control for the school’s athletics program. Responsible for the comprehensive administration of all athletic compliance functions of the institution to ensure compliance with NCAA and other league rules and regulations, as well as pertinent governmental regulations. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, monitoring recruiting activities, initial eligibility certification, continuing eligibility certification, financial aid administration, self-reporting and rules education. This position serves as primary person responsible for extracting data, analysis and reporting to be used by the department of athletics and other college offices, Department of Education, NCAA, Conference Carolinas and all internal Ferrum College reporting purposes. These reports included but are not limited to: List of incoming students for Admissions and the Carter Center For Academic Success; Enrollment Projection for Administration & Finance, Admissions, and the President; Scholarships Utilized/Projections; Revenue Generation for Administration & Finance; Presentation for Executive Leadership Committee (ELT) and Staff Council; Graduation/Retention Rates; NCAA Demographics; Current Enrollment/Retention for Administration & amp; Finance and Institutional Research; and Other Reports as assigned.
