Level of Decision Making
The CFO exercises a high level of independent judgment in developing financial strategies, managing budgets, and advising the Athletic Director and Board on fiscal matters. While operating within established regulations, nonprofit accounting standards, and institutional policies, the role makes key decisions regarding financial planning, resource allocation, and risk management. The position also evaluates financial challenges and recommends solutions that support organizational priorities and long-term sustainability.

Pay Range
$150,000 to $160,000
This job posting contains a pay range, which represents the range of salaries that AWPAA believes, in good faith, at the time of this posting that it might be willing to pay for the posted position. AWPAA expects to hire for this position near the middle of the range. Only in truly rare and exceptional circumstances, where an external candidate has experience, credentials or expertise that far exceed those required or expected for the position, would AWPAA consider paying a salary or rate near the higher end of the range.

USMA is renowned as the world’s preeminent leadership development institution. Located on the banks of the Hudson River in West Point, NY, it is approximately one hour from New York City. The mission of USMA is "to educate, train, and inspire the Corps of Cadets so that each graduate is a commissioned leader of character committed to the Army Values and prepared for a career of professional excellence and service to the Nation as an officer in the United States Army." This position will be housed within the AWPAA, which is a non-profit corporation organized to manage and support the 30 intercollegiate athletic programs at the Academy. The AWPAA mission is to recruit, educate, train and inspire leaders of character who are committed to the Army an extraordinary NCAA Division I athletic experience.
