SUMMARY:
Based out of the Kovalchick Convention and Athletic Complex (KCAC), the Clerical Assistant 2 plays a vital role within the Department of Athletics by providing comprehensive administrative support to the Director of Athletics. This position serves as a key liaison for the department, maintaining the Director’s daily calendar, handling high-level correspondence with both internal campus partners and external constituents, and collaborating closely with the IUP Foundation and Alumni/Friends office on special projects. Beyond daily operations, the role is heavily involved in the logistics of athletic events and programs, which includes coordinating major initiatives like fundraising golf outings and the Athletic Hall of Fame. Additionally, the Assistant works alongside the Coordinator of Facilities to streamline operations—assisting with facility scheduling, generating project work orders, game-day duties, supporting summer youth camps, and taking on other dynamic projects as needed to keep the department running smoothly.
