Job Description

Engineering a world of possibilities

Organize and lead water polo practices; serve as game day coach for tournaments

Men's Club Water Polo coach will serve as a teacher and instructor for water polo by teaching and developing fundamentals and skills. The coach will refrain from any of the business operations as that is the duties of the water polo officers.

Coaches are responsible for creating and implementing practice plans and game plans as well as the skill development of each student athlete in the club. The coach will also help students develop a healthy competitive nature, teach and demonstrate ethical behavior and good sportsmanship, and assist in the development of leadership skills. Clubs are first and foremost student organizations, thus the internal organization, management and decision making of the club must be left to the club officers, members, and club sport council. All coaches are considered a “Campus Security Authority” and are thus responsible and required to report any first-hand accounts or incidents of Mines student-involved harassment, sexual misconduct, sexual harassment, or sexual violence.
