• Complete and pass the National Collegiate Athletic Association Recruiting Examination.

• Current CPR & First Aid certification or must obtain within 30 days from date of hire and certified bi-annually.

• Must pass the Recruiting Certification Test per NCAA bylaw 12.1, 2.2.1.

• Assists the Head Coach in insuring that every participating player is enrolled in at least 12 units of credit each quarter and completing an average of 13 units per quarter, maintains an overall GPA of at least 2.0, and makes normal progress towards

• graduation.

• In accordance with UC Davis Athletics’ hiring process for coaches, UC Davis will require any head coach or assistant coach final candidate(s) to sign an authorization for a reference check. Pursuant to your signed authorization form, we will inquire with your prior institution(s) about any records of substantiated misconduct.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

Minimum Education/Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training with a college level program.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA)

• Knowledge of the rules and playing strategies of football. This includes, but is not limited to, teaching techniques, coaching strategies and safety measures that are necessary for the UC Davis student-athlete to compete at the collegiate level.

• Skills to express ideas clearly, concisely, and logically, both verbally and in writing

Preferred:

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA)

• Ability to learn the complex policies and procedures regarding academic eligibility of UC Davis student-athletes. These include UC Davis, Conference and the National Collegiate Athletic Association policies and procedures. Knowledge of campus, conference andNCAArules and regulations.
