Description

Georgia Military College is searching for a Defensive Coordinator to fill an opening on its junior college football staff. Applicants should preferably have experience coaching the defensive secondary at the college level and experience with coaching special teams would be desired. The position will entail other off the field responsibilities such as academic oversight/coordination of student-athletes, strength & conditioning training of student-athletes, and other such duties to support team and student-athlete development. The position is a full-time position with benefits and applicants should have a Bachelor's degree for consideration.

· Assisting Asst. Athletic Director in preparing field for practices and games, completing necessary paperwork and schedules for student-athletes to follow in regards to itineraries, travel, tracking expenses, etc

· Developing and executing recruitment strategies

· Research target high school and athletic camps as sources for potential student-athletes. Conduct interviews while visiting locations

Qualifications

*Employment is contingent upon the clearance of a criminal background check and drug screening.

Education: Bachelor's degree

Experience: 2 years coaching experience OR comparative time playing at a collegiate/professional level

Skills: Knowledge of NJCAA and NCAA eligibility rules and procedures
